Park Hyatt Mallorca

Mallorca

The design approach sought to pay tribute to the local vernacular, by integrating and reflecting landscape elements from the island’s rolling hills and its rich garden history. It also sought to pay homage to the island’s famous craftsmanship by working closely with local artisans to develop very specific design features such as walls and paving to achieve a truly timeless design.

Great locations, traditional classic hotel design. Mallorca vegetation and stonework and masonry very interesting, using and working with the local vernacular, all about craftsmanship. Study of traditional wall types of Mallorca worked with craftsman perfecting wall type and paving. Timeless design. Xerophytic plant palette to maximise water saving. Landscape reflective of some of the hills but also rich garden history on the island.

SRLA delivered the construction phase of the landscape for this project. Overseeing the project team, the client relationship, coordinating with the local consultants, meeting with local suppliers, nursery visits, leading the plant procurement for the project as well as working with local craftsmen who were building the beautiful stonework and ironwork across the site.
